Service Completed: Mid Resonator & Back Box Delete

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently carried out a mid resonator delete and back box delete on this VW Polo GTI, giving the car a much more aggressive sound profile while keeping the setup clean and lightweight.

The factory mid resonator and rear back box were removed and replaced with a straight-through pipe configuration, allowing exhaust gases to flow more freely. This results in a sharper throttle response and a noticeably louder, more defined exhaust note, bringing out the sporty character of the GTI.

Despite the increase in volume, the system was carefully designed to minimise unwanted drone, making it still perfectly usable for daily driving while delivering that sought-after crackle and tone under acceleration.

As with all of our work, the system was fabricated in-house using high-quality T304 stainless steel and fully TIG welded, ensuring long-lasting durability, a precise fit, and a clean, professional finish.
