Service Completed: Custom Downpipe-Back Exhaust Upgrade

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently completed a bespoke exhaust upgrade on this Volkswagen Polo 1.9L Diesel (1999), designed to improve exhaust flow and give the vehicle a more defined and purposeful sound.

This build featured a custom downpipe-back system, replacing the restrictive factory exhaust with a freer-flowing setup. The upgrade allows exhaust gases to exit more efficiently, helping improve throttle response and overall drivability while giving the diesel engine a deeper, more pronounced tone.

The system was carefully designed to suit the character of the vehicle, maintaining everyday usability while adding a subtle performance-inspired edge to the driving experience.

As with all of our exhaust systems, this setup was hand-fabricated in-house using high-quality T304 stainless steel and fully TIG welded, ensuring excellent durability, corrosion resistance, and a precise, long-lasting fit.
