Service Completed: Back Box Delete with Quad Tailpipe Conversion

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently completed a custom back box delete for a 2017 Volkswagen Golf R TSI DSG 2.0 Turbo Petrol, giving this hot hatch a more aggressive exhaust note and a rear-end appearance that better reflects its performance credentials.

For this project, we removed the factory back box and fabricated a bespoke dual rear exit exhaust section, finished with quad polished tailpipes. The new setup provides a cleaner, more purposeful look, perfectly complementing the Golf R’s sporty styling while adding a premium, performance-inspired finish.

Manufactured entirely in-house using premium-grade stainless steel, the new rear section was built to ensure precise fitment, exceptional durability, and a high-quality finish throughout. The back box delete allows the 2.0-litre turbocharged engine to produce a deeper, more pronounced exhaust note, enhancing the driving experience while maintaining excellent everyday usability.
