Service Completed: VW Golf GTI TSI 2017 2.0L Turbocharged Petrol Custom Valved Cat-Back Exhaust System

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently welcomed this 2017 VW Golf GTI TSI 2.0L Turbocharged Petrol into our workshop for a custom-made cat-back exhaust system, giving this performance Golf a bespoke exhaust setup with some serious rear-end styling.

The customer was looking for an exhaust upgrade that would not only enhance the appearance of the GTI but also provide the flexibility of a valved exhaust system. After discussing the options, we set about designing and fabricating a system tailored specifically to the vehicle.

For this project, we custom-fabricated and fitted a cat-back exhaust system with a valved exhaust box and dual-exit configuration, finished with a single carbon fibre exhaust tip on each side.

The valved exhaust box gives the owner the flexibility to control the exhaust character when required, while the dual-exit layout and carbon fibre tips give the rear of the Golf GTI a much more distinctive and purposeful appearance.

As with all our custom exhaust work, careful attention was paid to the pipework, positioning, clearances and overall finish to ensure the system sat correctly beneath the vehicle and complemented the original styling of the GTI.
