Service Completed: Custom Single Exit Cat-Back Over-Axle Exhaust System

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently completed a custom cat-back exhaust system for this 2014 Vauxhall Astra GTC Sport 1.4L Petrol, providing the vehicle with a fresh new exhaust setup designed to improve longevity, appearance, and exhaust tone.

For this build, our experienced stainless steel exhaust fabricators designed and manufactured a bespoke cat-back exhaust system, replacing the exhaust components from the catalytic converter backwards. The new system included a custom over-axle section, carefully fabricated to ensure precise fitment around the vehicle’s rear suspension and underbody components.

The customer opted for a single-exit configuration, meaning the exhaust exits from one side of the vehicle at the rear. This layout maintains the clean and understated styling of the Astra GTC while benefiting from a fully custom-built stainless steel exhaust system tailored specifically to the vehicle.

The new cat-back system provides a deeper and more refined exhaust note compared to the ageing factory setup, giving the 1.4-litre petrol engine added character without compromising everyday comfort. The result is an exhaust system that sounds purposeful while remaining well-suited to daily driving.
