Service Completed: Custom Dual Exit Cat-Back Exhaust with Jap-Style Rear Boxes

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently completed a bespoke dual exit cat-back exhaust system for this Subaru Legacy R (2006), built to enhance both performance and give the car a more aggressive, performance-inspired sound.

The original system was replaced with a fully custom mid section and rear exhaust, improving exhaust flow and allowing the engine to breathe more freely. This results in sharper throttle response and a deeper, more distinctive exhaust note that really suits the character of the Legacy.

To finish the setup, we fitted dual Jap-style rear boxes complete with HKS-style blue burnt tip finishers, giving the car a classic JDM-inspired look while adding a crisp, sporty tone under acceleration.

As with all of our exhaust systems, this setup was hand-fabricated in-house using high-quality T304 stainless steel and fully TIG welded, ensuring long-lasting durability, a precise fit, and a clean, high-quality finish throughout.
