Service Completed: Custom Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhaust System

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently completed a full custom cat-back exhaust upgrade on this 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STI 2.5L Petrol, enhancing both the vehicle’s performance-inspired sound and iconic rally-bred character.

For this build, we fabricated and installed a complete stainless steel mid and rear exhaust system, featuring a straight-through design paired with a Jap-style rear silencer. The setup allows the EJ25 engine to breathe more freely, delivering the deep, aggressive boxer rumble that Subaru enthusiasts know and love.

The straight-pipe configuration provides a significantly more pronounced exhaust note, offering improved sound throughout the rev range while maintaining a clean and purposeful tone. Combined with the Jap-style back box, the finished system gives the STI a classic performance look and an unmistakable presence on the road.

As with all of our custom exhaust systems, the work was carried out in-house using high-quality stainless steel and precision fabrication techniques to ensure excellent fitment, long-term durability, and a professional finish.
