Service Completed: Mid Box Delete & Dual Exit Back Box Delete Conversion with Oval Tips

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently completed a custom exhaust upgrade on this 2015 SEAT Leon EcoTSI FR Technology 1.4L Petrol, transforming both the sound and appearance of the vehicle with a combination of performance-inspired modifications.

For this build, we first fabricated and installed a custom mid box delete section, removing the centre silencer to allow more of the engine’s natural exhaust tone to come through. This modification helps deliver a deeper and more noticeable sound while maintaining everyday comfort and drivability.

To further enhance the vehicle, we also carried out a back box delete and custom dual-exit conversion. The factory setup featured twin exhaust tips exiting from just one side of the vehicle. Following the upgrade, the Leon now benefits from a true dual-exit appearance, with the exhaust exiting on both sides of the rear bumper for a much more balanced and sporty look.

To complete the transformation, we fitted a set of oval exhaust tips, perfectly complementing the styling of the FR Technology model. The larger oval design fills the rear valance beautifully and gives the vehicle a premium OEM+ appearance, similar to that found on higher-performance models within the range.

The combination of the mid box delete and rear conversion has given this Leon a more purposeful exhaust note and a significantly enhanced rear-end presence. By modifying the key sections of the exhaust system rather than replacing the entire setup, we were able to achieve exactly the result the customer was looking for while providing excellent value.
