Service Completed: Stainless Steel Valved Cat-Back Exhaust System

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently completed a custom stainless steel cat-back exhaust system on this 2016 SEAT Ibiza Cupra 1.8L Petrol, designed to enhance both the sound and driving experience while maintaining everyday usability.

For this build, our skilled stainless steel exhaust fabricators designed and manufactured a bespoke mid and rear cat-back system, replacing the factory exhaust components from the catalytic converter backwards. The new system was custom-built in-house to provide improved exhaust flow, excellent durability, and a more purposeful exhaust note suited to the character of the Ibiza Cupra.

A key feature of this installation is the addition of a valved rear exhaust box. An exhaust valve allows the driver to control the sound level of the exhaust system, offering the flexibility to switch between a quieter, more refined tone for everyday driving and a louder, sportier exhaust note when desired. This gives the best of both worlds, combining performance-inspired sound with practical day-to-day comfort.

The completed system delivers a deeper, richer exhaust tone throughout the rev range, bringing the 1.8 TSI engine to life without introducing unwanted drone during normal driving conditions. The result is a more engaging driving experience that perfectly complements the Cupra’s sporty character.

As with all of our custom exhaust systems, every section was fabricated in-house using high-quality stainless steel and precision manufacturing techniques to ensure outstanding fitment, long-term reliability, and a professional finish throughout.
