Service Completed: Back Box Delete with Twin Centre Exit Exhaust Tips

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently carried out a custom back box delete on this Mini Cooper S, giving the vehicle a louder, deeper, and more characterful exhaust note while retaining the iconic centre exit styling that perfectly suits the Cooper S.

For this build, we removed the factory rear silencer and replaced it with a custom straight-through rear section. By eliminating the restrictive back box, the exhaust gases are able to flow more freely, allowing the engine to produce a noticeably sportier and more engaging sound. A back box delete is one of the most popular modifications for the Cooper S, helping to unlock the character that these vehicles are well known for.

The system retains the factory centre exit configuration and is finished with a pair of twin exhaust tips, maintaining the distinctive rear styling of the Mini while giving it a cleaner and more purposeful appearance. The twin centre exit arrangement perfectly complements the sporty design of the Cooper S and provides a subtle yet aggressive finishing touch to the rear of the vehicle.

The completed setup delivers a louder, deeper, and more aggressive exhaust note compared to the standard system.
