Service Completed: Custom Rear Section Upgrade

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently completed a bespoke exhaust upgrade on this Mercedes CL500 / S500 (2000) 5.0L Petrol, designed to enhance both the sound and rear-end presence while respecting the character of this classic V8 Mercedes.

This build featured a custom rear section with a backbox delete, removing the restrictive factory silencer to allow for improved exhaust flow and a more free-breathing V8 tone. The result is a deeper, more resonant exhaust note that brings out the true character of the 5.0L engine, with a more pronounced sound under acceleration.

To complete the look, we fitted quad tailpipes, giving the rear of the vehicle a much more aggressive and high-end appearance while maintaining a clean, OEM+ style finish that suits the timeless design of the CL/S-Class platform.

As with all of our systems, this exhaust was hand-fabricated in-house using high-quality T304 stainless steel and fully TIG welded, ensuring excellent durability, corrosion resistance, and a precise, long-lasting fit.
