This Mercedes C220d AMG came into MIJ Exhaust for a cat-back, mandrel-bent exhaust upgrade, designed to enhance both performance and presence while keeping things refined and daily-friendly. 😎💨

The system was mandrel bent throughout, allowing for improved exhaust gas flow. This helps reduce restriction, supporting smoother performance delivery and a cleaner, more efficient exhaust note that complements the AMG styling without being over the top.

We finished the setup with a twin-exit layout, fitting single curl down tips on both sides. Curl-down tips are a popular option on vehicles like the C-Class — while some models use built-in tailpipe covers or straight-through pipework, curl-downs effectively direct exhaust gases away from the rear bumper. Functionally, all options perform the same; it simply comes down to preference and desired finish.

The end result is a clean, OEM-plus look with improved flow, subtle aggression, and a setup perfectly suited to the C220d AMG’s sporty yet refined character.
