Service Completed: Dual Exit Back Box Delete with Slash Cut Tips

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently carried out a custom back box delete on this 2014 Mazda 3 SE 2.0L Petrol, giving the vehicle a sportier appearance and a more engaging exhaust note while retaining excellent everyday drivability.

For this build, we removed the factory rear silencer and fabricated a custom dual-exit rear section, transforming the rear-end aesthetics of the Mazda. A dual-exit configuration means the exhaust exits on both sides of the vehicle, creating a more balanced and performance-inspired look compared to the standard setup.

The back box delete allows more of the engine’s natural tone to be heard, resulting in a deeper, sharper exhaust note that enhances the driving experience without being overly intrusive. It’s a popular modification for owners looking to add more character to their vehicle without replacing the entire exhaust system.

To complete the conversion, we fitted a single slash-cut exhaust tip on each side. The classic slash-cut design provides a clean and subtle finish that suits the styling of the Mazda 3 perfectly, adding just the right amount of visual enhancement without appearing over the top.
