Service Completed: Custom Dual Exit Back Box Delete Upgrade

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently completed a custom dual exit back box delete upgrade on this 1999 Jaguar XJR/XKR 4.0L Petrol, enhancing both the exhaust note and rear-end appearance with a bespoke stainless steel exhaust fabrication.

For this build, we removed the factory rear silencers and manufactured custom stainless steel replacement sections in-house. The back box delete was designed to allow more of the supercharged 4.0-litre engine’s character to be heard, delivering a deeper, richer exhaust note that better suits the performance pedigree of these iconic Jaguar models.

The new rear sections retain a clean dual-exit layout, giving the vehicle a more purposeful appearance while complementing the timeless styling of the XJR/XKR. The upgraded exhaust setup provides a noticeably enhanced soundtrack, allowing the V8 engine to produce a more engaging tone throughout the rev range without compromising the vehicle’s grand touring character.

All fabrication work was carried out using high-quality stainless steel, ensuring long-term durability, excellent corrosion resistance, and precise fitment. Every component was custom-built specifically for the vehicle to achieve a professional finish and factory-quality installation.
