At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently welcomed this classic 1997 BMW Z3 Roadster 1.9L Naturally Aspirated Petrol into our workshop for a custom-made cat-back exhaust system, designed and fabricated to complement the car’s character while giving it a unique, tailored finish.

The customer was looking for a custom exhaust solution that would suit the styling of the Z3 Roadster, with a clean, understated appearance and a distinctive exhaust note. After discussing the options, we set about creating a bespoke system that would fit the vehicle correctly and deliver the desired look.

Our team custom-fabricated a complete cat-back exhaust system, featuring a single exit configuration, an oval rear exhaust box, and a small rolled slash-cut exhaust tip. Every aspect of the system was carefully considered to ensure the exhaust followed the contours of the vehicle and sat neatly within the rear bumper area.

The single-exit design gives the Z3 a simple, purposeful appearance, while the oval exhaust box and compact rolled slash-cut tip provide a subtle finishing touch that complements the roadster’s original styling without being overly aggressive.
