Service Completed: BMW M240i Custom Rear Section Upgrade & Jap-Style Can

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently welcomed this 2016 BMW M240i 3.0L Petrol into our workshop for a custom rear section upgrade, giving this performance BMW a bespoke exhaust setup with a more aggressive and purposeful finish.

The customer was looking to upgrade the rear section of the M240i with a custom setup, so we set about fabricating a mandrel-bent rear exhaust section tailored specifically to the vehicle.

For this project, we carried out a custom rear section upgrade using mandrel-bent pipework, incorporating a Jap-style exhaust can into the setup. The mandrel-bent construction allows us to maintain smooth bends throughout the system while achieving the desired routing and fitment beneath the vehicle.

The addition of the Jap-style can gives the rear of the M240i a distinctive motorsport-inspired appearance, adding a custom touch to the overall setup while complementing the car’s performance-focused character.

As always, careful attention was paid to the pipe routing, bends, positioning, clearances and overall finish, ensuring the new rear section sat correctly beneath the vehicle and everything was neatly aligned.
