Service Completed: Custom Valved Exhaust System Upgrade

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently carried out a bespoke exhaust upgrade on this BMW 330e xDrive M Sport 2.0L Hybrid (2021), refining an existing setup and integrating a fully functional valved system for improved sound control and performance.

The vehicle arrived with a back box delete already in place, however the system was reworked and rebuilt in-house to properly accommodate a custom valved exhaust configuration. This included the installation of a decat downpipe and OPF solution, allowing for significantly improved exhaust flow and a more responsive overall driving experience.

A key feature of this build is the valved system, giving the driver full control over the exhaust note. With the valves closed, the car maintains a quieter, more refined tone suitable for daily driving and hybrid operation. When opened, the system produces a deeper, more aggressive exhaust note with increased volume and presence—bringing out a much sportier character from the 330e.

The rear section was carefully designed to enhance the vehicle’s appearance, maintaining a clean OEM+ finish while adding a more purposeful, performance-inspired look.

As with all of our exhaust systems, this setup was hand-fabricated in-house using high-quality T304 stainless steel and fully TIG welded, ensuring excellent durability, corrosion resistance, and a precise, factory-quality fit.
