Service Completed: Custom Valved Rear Conversion with Mid Resonator Delete

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently completed a custom exhaust transformation on this 2019 BMW 120i M Sport 2.0 Turbo Petrol, upgrading both the sound and the rear-end appearance with a bespoke valved exhaust setup.

For this build, we carried out a mid resonator delete alongside a custom valved rear conversion, allowing the driver to switch between a quieter, refined exhaust note and a deeper, sportier tone at the touch of a button. The upgraded system brings out more of the 2.0-litre turbocharged engine’s character while remaining perfectly suited for everyday driving.

This BMW originally featured a twin-exit exhaust on one side only. As part of the rear conversion, we transformed the system into a dual-exit setup, fabricating a new rear section with an integrated exhaust valve and finishing it with single carbon fibre exhaust tips on both sides. The result is a clean, symmetrical OEM+ appearance that perfectly complements the M Sport styling.

As with all of our custom exhaust systems, the entire setup was fabricated and installed in-house using high-quality materials and precision craftsmanship, ensuring excellent fitment, long-lasting durability, and a professional finish.
