Service Completed: Custom Back Box Delete & Dual Exit Conversion

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently completed a custom rear exhaust upgrade for a 2013 BMW 118d M Sport 2.0L Turbo Diesel, carrying out a back box delete and converting the original exhaust layout to a bespoke dual-exit setup.

For this project, the customer requested a back box delete with a single exhaust tip on each side of the vehicle. We removed the original rear back box and fabricated a new stainless steel rear section entirely in-house, carefully routing and positioning the pipework to achieve accurate fitment and a clean, symmetrical finish underneath the BMW.

The new dual-exit configuration gives the 118d M Sport a more distinctive and sporty appearance, with a single exhaust tip positioned on both the left and right sides of the rear. This balanced layout complements the M Sport styling while keeping the overall design clean and understated.

Manufactured entirely in-house using premium-grade stainless steel, the new rear section was built specifically for this BMW to provide excellent durability, accurate fitment, and a high-quality finish. The back box delete also gives the vehicle a more noticeable exhaust character compared with the standard system.
