Service Completed: BMW 116d 2017 1.5L Turbo Diesel Custom Cat-Back Exhaust System

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently welcomed this 2017 BMW 116d 1.5L Turbo Diesel into our workshop for a custom-made cat-back exhaust system, giving this BMW a bespoke exhaust setup tailored to the vehicle.

The customer was looking for a clean and purposeful exhaust upgrade while retaining a simple, understated appearance. After discussing the requirements, we set about fabricating a system that would provide a neat fit and finish from the catalytic converter back.

For this project, we custom-fabricated and fitted a single-exit cat-back exhaust system, carefully designing the pipework to follow the original routing of the vehicle while ensuring the system was securely positioned with the correct clearances.

The single-exit setup gives the rear of the 116d a clean and tidy appearance, while the custom fabrication allows us to achieve the fitment and finish required rather than relying on a standard off-the-shelf system.

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we specialise in custom exhaust fabrication for all types of vehicles. Whether you’re looking for a complete custom system or a simple upgrade to an existing setup, we can tailor the design around the vehicle and the customer’s requirements.

The finished result is a custom single-exit cat-back exhaust system, giving this BMW 116d a clean, bespoke exhaust setup with a professional finish.

We’ve also got a video of this one! Take a look below to see the finished exhaust fitted to the vehicle and hear the setup for yourself.
