Service Completed: Mid Resonator Delete & Custom Dual Rear Section with Matte Black Slash Cut Tips

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently carried out a custom exhaust upgrade on this 2019 Audi A5 TFSI S Line 2.0L Petrol, enhancing both the sound and appearance of the vehicle while maintaining the refined character expected from the A5 platform.

For this build, the vehicle came in for two custom exhaust modifications. Firstly, we completed a mid-section resonator delete, removing the factory centre resonator to allow the exhaust gases to flow more freely and to introduce a deeper, more pronounced exhaust note. This popular modification helps unlock more character from the 2.0 TFSI engine without compromising everyday drivability.

To further transform the rear of the vehicle, we fabricated and installed a custom dual rear section. This setup provides a more balanced exhaust appearance while improving the overall sound profile of the car, giving the A5 a sportier and more engaging presence on the road.

To complete the transformation, we fitted a pair of matte black single slash cut exhaust tips, with one tip positioned on each side of the vehicle. The stealthy matte black finish perfectly complements the Audi’s S Line styling, adding a subtle yet aggressive appearance to the rear end. The slash cut design provides a modern performance-inspired look that enhances the vehicle’s factory lines while delivering a premium finished appearance.

The completed setup produces a deeper, more noticeable exhaust tone compared to the standard system, offering improved sound throughout the rev range while retaining comfort during everyday driving. Combined with the upgraded dual exit styling, the modification significantly improves both the sound and visual presence of the Audi.
