Service Completed: Custom Back Box Delete

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently completed a custom rear exhaust upgrade for a 2001 BMW 325Ci 2.5L Petrol, carrying out a back box delete and replacing the original rear section with a bespoke stainless steel setup designed to the customer’s requirements.

For this project, the customer requested a back box delete with a single-exit configuration, finished with a stylish single exhaust tip. We fabricated the new rear section in-house, carefully positioning the pipework and exhaust tip to achieve a clean and precise fit underneath the BMW while maintaining the classic appearance of the 325Ci.

The single-exit setup gives the rear of the BMW a clean and understated look, while the back box delete provides a more pronounced and sporty exhaust note from the naturally aspirated 2.5L petrol engine. The finished system was designed to give the vehicle more character without changing the overall simplicity of the rear exhaust layout.

Manufactured entirely in-house using premium-grade stainless steel, the new rear section was built specifically for this BMW to provide excellent durability, accurate fitment, and a high-quality finish. Every part of the system was fabricated around the vehicle to ensure the exhaust sits correctly and maintains suitable clearance underneath the car.
