Service Completed: Honda Prelude Custom Downpipe-Back Exhaust & Twin Staggered Tips

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently welcomed this 1990 Honda Prelude 2.0L Naturally Aspirated Petrol into our workshop for a fully custom downpipe-back exhaust system, giving this classic Honda a fresh exhaust setup while retaining its original character.

The customer was looking for a single-exit exhaust system that would suit the classic styling of the Prelude, while also incorporating a flexi section to allow for movement and help protect the system from stress and vibration.

For this project, we fabricated a custom downpipe-back exhaust system with a single-exit configuration, incorporating a flexi unit into the system. To complete the setup, we fitted a set of twin staggered exhaust tips, giving the rear of the Prelude a distinctive and purposeful finish.

The twin staggered tips add a subtle custom touch to the rear of the car, complementing the classic lines of the Prelude without going overboard. The single-exit layout keeps the overall design clean and simple while giving the exhaust a bespoke appearance.

As always, careful attention was paid to the pipe routing, positioning, clearances and alignment, ensuring the exhaust sat correctly beneath the vehicle and the twin staggered tips were positioned neatly at the rear.
