Service Completed: Front Flexi Section Replacement & Backbox Delete – 2005 Ford Mondeo ST TDCi 2.2L Turbo Diesel

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently carried out two custom exhaust services on this 2005 Ford Mondeo ST TDCi 2.2L Turbo Diesel, replacing the worn front flexi section and fabricating a custom backbox delete to improve both reliability and sound.

A failing flexi section can lead to exhaust leaks, unwanted vibrations, and increased cabin noise, so replacing it is essential for restoring the exhaust system’s performance. At the same time, the owner wanted to give the Mondeo a sportier exhaust note, making a custom backbox delete the perfect addition.

For this Mondeo ST TDCi, we manufactured and installed a new front flexi section to replace the damaged original, before fabricating a custom backbox delete section that integrates seamlessly with the existing exhaust system. The result is a cleaner, more purposeful exhaust tone while maintaining excellent fitment and everyday drivability.

As with all of our custom exhaust work, both sections were fabricated from high-quality T304 stainless steel and fully TIG welded, providing exceptional durability, corrosion resistance, and a professional finish that’s built to last.
