Service Completed: Custom Backbox Delete with Dual Exit Single Tips – 2016 BMW 218i M Sport 1.5L Turbo Petrol

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently completed a custom backbox delete for this 2016 BMW 218i M Sport 1.5L Turbo Petrol, giving it a sportier sound and a more aggressive rear-end appearance.

The customer wanted to enhance the exhaust note while upgrading the look of the factory system. We fabricated a bespoke rear section featuring a dual exit setup with single polished tailpipes on each side, giving the car a more balanced and performance-inspired finish that perfectly suits the M Sport styling.

By removing the factory backbox, the 1.5-litre turbocharged engine now produces a deeper, more purposeful exhaust note without being over the top. The result is a refined sporty sound that adds more character to the driving experience while complementing the car’s everyday usability.

As with all of our custom exhaust systems, this BMW’s rear section was fabricated in-house using high-quality T304 stainless steel and fully TIG welded, ensuring exceptional durability, a precise fit, and a clean, professional finish that’s built to last.
