Service Completed: Custom Rear Section Upgrade with Single Exit Conversion

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently completed a custom rear section upgrade on this 2007 Mazda RX-8 2.6 Naturally Aspirated Petrol, transforming both the exhaust sound and the rear-end layout to suit the owner’s vision.

For this build, the car arrived with an exhaust system that exited on both sides of the vehicle. The customer wanted a cleaner, more unique setup with the exhaust exiting from just one side, so we fabricated and installed a completely custom rear section to achieve the desired result.

To complete the conversion, we finished the system with a pie-cut downturn exhaust tip, giving the RX-8 a distinctive motorsport-inspired look that sets it apart from the traditional twin-exit arrangement.

The new rear section also enhances the sound of the rotary engine, producing a deeper, more purposeful exhaust note while retaining the unique character that makes the RX-8 so recognisable.

As with all of our custom exhaust systems, the entire setup was fabricated and installed in-house using high-quality materials and precision craftsmanship, ensuring excellent fitment, long-lasting durability, and a clean, professional finish.
