Service Completed: Mid Resonator Delete & Back Box Delete with Twin Staggered Tips

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently carried out a custom exhaust upgrade on this 2019 SEAT Leon TSI FR Sport 2.0L Petrol, enhancing both the sound and appearance of the vehicle with a combination of carefully selected modifications.

For this build, we first fabricated and installed a mid resonator delete section, removing the centre silencer from the exhaust system to allow more of the engine’s natural tone to be heard. This modification helps unlock a deeper and more pronounced exhaust note while retaining excellent drivability for everyday use.

To further enhance the system, we also carried out a back box delete, replacing the factory rear silencer with a custom-fabricated section. The combination of the resonator delete and rear silencer removal creates a noticeably sportier exhaust note, allowing the 2.0-litre TSI engine to sound more purposeful throughout the rev range.

To complete the transformation, we fitted a pair of twin staggered exhaust tips. The staggered design adds a premium performance-inspired finish to the rear of the vehicle, perfectly complementing the sporty styling of the FR Sport model. The upgraded tips enhance the rear-end appearance and provide a clean OEM+ look that suits the Leon exceptionally well.

One of the benefits of this type of upgrade is that it focuses on the sections of the exhaust system that make the biggest difference to sound and appearance. Rather than replacing the entire system unnecessarily, targeted modifications such as resonator deletes and back box deletes can often achieve exactly the result the customer is looking for while offering excellent value.

As with all of our exhaust work, the modifications were fabricated and installed in-house by our experienced stainless steel exhaust fabricators using quality materials and precision manufacturing techniques. This ensures outstanding fitment, durability, and a professional finish throughout.
