Service Completed: Mid Resonator Delete & Dual Exit Back Box Delete Conversion

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently completed a custom exhaust upgrade on this 2013 Volkswagen Touran GT 1.4L Petrol, enhancing both the sound and rear-end appearance with a combination of carefully selected modifications.

For this project, we first carried out a mid resonator delete, removing the centre silencing section of the exhaust system to allow a greater level of exhaust tone to pass through. This modification helps unlock a deeper and more noticeable sound without requiring a complete exhaust replacement.

To further enhance the system, we also performed a back box delete and fabricated a custom dual-exit rear section. This upgrade transforms the appearance of the Touran by introducing exhaust exits on both sides of the vehicle, creating a much more balanced and sporty rear-end aesthetic compared to the original setup.

The combination of the resonator delete and rear silencer removal gives the 1.4-litre petrol engine a more refined and purposeful exhaust note, adding character to the vehicle while remaining suitable for everyday driving. The dual-exit conversion also helps give the Touran a more premium and performance-inspired look that stands out from the standard factory design.
