Service Completed: Backbox Delete Upgrade

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently carried out a custom exhaust modification on this Volkswagen Polo SE 2003, designed to enhance sound and give the car a sportier edge.

This build features a rear backbox delete, removing the restrictive factory silencer to create a freer-flowing exhaust system. The result is a more responsive feel and a noticeably deeper, more defined exhaust note, adding character to the 1.4L engine without being overly intrusive.

To finish, we fitted a twin exhaust tip, giving the rear a cleaner, more performance-inspired look while maintaining a subtle OEM+ style.

On the road, the upgrade delivers a sharper tone under acceleration, while still remaining comfortable for everyday driving.

As with all of our exhaust work, this setup was fabricated in-house using high-quality T304 stainless steel, ensuring durability, corrosion resistance, and a clean, precise finish.
