Service Completed: Custom Dual Rear Valved Exhaust Upgrade

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently carried out a bespoke exhaust transformation on this BMW 520d M Sport Touring 2009, designed to enhance both sound and styling while maintaining everyday usability.

This build features a full dual rear exhaust conversion, incorporating a custom valved exhaust box to give the driver control over the sound output. With the valve closed, the system remains subtle and refined—ideal for daily driving. Open the valve, and the exhaust produces a deeper, more aggressive tone, adding a sportier edge to the diesel engine.

To complete the look, the system is finished with quad exhaust tips, giving the rear a much more performance-focused and balanced appearance in line with M Sport styling.

On the road, this setup delivers a noticeable improvement in presence and tone under acceleration, while still keeping cabin comfort intact during cruising thanks to the valved functionality.

As with all of our work, this exhaust was fabricated in-house using high-quality T304 stainless steel, ensuring long-lasting durability, corrosion resistance, and a clean OEM+ finish.
