Service Completed: Custom Backbox Delete Upgrade

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently completed a bespoke exhaust modification on this SEAT Ibiza TSI I-Tech (2015) 1.2L Petrol, designed to enhance sound, improve exhaust flow, and add a more engaging driving character.

This build featured a custom backbox delete, removing the restrictive factory rear silencer to allow for a freer-flowing exhaust path. The upgrade results in a sharper throttle response and a more defined exhaust note, giving the 1.2 TSI engine a noticeably sportier sound profile while still remaining suitable for everyday driving.

The modification also adds a more purposeful tone under acceleration, enhancing the overall driving experience without compromising practicality or refinement during normal cruising.

As with all of our exhaust work, this setup was carried out in-house using high-quality T304 stainless steel and precision fabrication techniques to ensure durability, corrosion resistance, and a clean, OEM+ finish.
