Service Completed: Custom Valved Cat-Back Exhaust Upgrade

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently completed a bespoke exhaust upgrade on this Volkswagen Polo GTI (2016), designed to enhance both performance and sound while maintaining everyday usability.

This build featured a full custom cat-back system, integrated with a valved setup to give the driver complete control over the exhaust tone. The upgraded system improves exhaust flow, helping the engine breathe more efficiently and delivering a smoother, more responsive drive.

With the valves closed, the Polo GTI retains a refined, subtle tone ideal for daily use. Open the valves, and the system transforms—producing a deeper, louder, and more aggressive exhaust note that perfectly matches the car’s sporty character.

The system was carefully designed to sit seamlessly within the vehicle, maintaining a clean OEM+ appearance while adding a more purposeful edge to the rear profile.

As with all of our exhaust systems, this setup was hand-fabricated in-house using high-quality T304 stainless steel and fully TIG welded, ensuring long-lasting durability, corrosion resistance, and a precise, factory-quality fit.
