Service Completed: Valved Rear Section Exhaust Upgrade

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently fitted a custom valved rear section on this Vauxhall Astra VXR (2012) 2.0L petrol, giving the owner full control over the car’s exhaust sound.

The factory rear section was replaced with a bespoke valved setup, allowing the driver to switch between a quieter, more refined tone and a louder, more aggressive exhaust note at the push of a button. With the valves closed, the car remains comfortable and subtle for everyday driving—but open them up, and the VXR delivers a much deeper, sportier sound that really brings the car to life.

This type of system is perfect for those who want the best of both worlds: performance sound when you want it, and restraint when you need it.

As with all of our systems, this exhaust was hand-fabricated in-house using premium T304 stainless steel and fully TIG welded, ensuring durability, a precise fit, and a high-quality finish throughout.
