Service Completed: Custom Exhaust Cat-back System Finished with a JDM Style Finish

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently had the pleasure of working on this iconic Honda Integra Type R—one of the most celebrated front-wheel-drive performance cars ever built. The owner wanted to refresh the exhaust system and bring back that classic JDM character with a modern, high-quality setup.

Although the Integra Type R is already known for its sharp tone and high-revving VTEC soundtrack, the existing system had seen better days. The client requested a full custom cat-back system, including the middle and rear sections, finished off with a bold 4-inch Jap-style can to complete the authentic JDM look.

Before: A tired, aged system that had lost its tone and visual appeal.
After: A fully bespoke T304 stainless steel cat-back system, TIG welded throughout, designed to enhance flow, sharpen throttle response, and give the car that unmistakable JDM bark.

The 4-inch Jap-style can wasn’t just chosen for aesthetics—it delivers that deep, resonant idle and crisp VTEC scream that enthusiasts love, without being overly intrusive during normal driving. We tuned the design for the ideal balance of tone, performance, and drivability.
