Service Completed: Custom Back Box Delete & Dual Exit Exhaust Upgrade

At MIJ Exhaust Ltd, we recently completed a custom rear exhaust upgrade for a BMW 118i Turbo Petrol, carrying out a back box delete and converting the rear exhaust to a bespoke dual-exit setup finished with single matte black tailpipes.

For this project, the customer requested a back box delete with a single exhaust tip on each side of the vehicle. We removed the original rear back box and fabricated the new rear section in-house, carefully routing and positioning the pipework to provide accurate fitment and a clean, balanced appearance underneath the BMW.

The new dual-exit configuration gives the BMW a sportier and more purposeful appearance, with one exhaust tip positioned on each side of the rear. The single matte black tailpipes provide a subtle but distinctive finishing touch, complementing the styling of the vehicle while giving the rear a cleaner and more modern appearance.

Manufactured using premium-grade stainless steel, the new rear section was handcrafted specifically for this BMW to provide excellent durability, accurate fitment, and a high-quality finish. The back box delete also gives the vehicle a more noticeable and sportier exhaust note compared with the original setup.
